Round 4 of Day Trip Ideas: Frankenmuth, Midland & Saginaw | Greater Lansing Area Moms

We are rounding up some more fun day trip ideas and this week we are focusing on attractions in the Frankenmuth, Midland and Saginaw area.  Pack some snacks and travel about an 90 minutes northeast! 

Dow Gardens One of our favorites is Dow Gardens in Midland, it is the nation’s longest canopy walk through the trees, ¼ mile long – open by appointment Tuesday-Sundays. It is beautiful in every season!

Bronner’s Christmas Wonderland -Frankenmuth, World’s largest Christmas store. Bronner’s amazing store is the size of 1 1/2 football fields.

Chippewa Nature Center Midland, 19 miles of walking trails, learn about taping a tree for maple syrup and snowshoeing in the winter. They also offer nature programs for children and birthday parties!

Mid-Michigan Children’s Museum Saginaw, colorful attraction with hands-on, interactive exhibits designed for children under age 10. 

Plymouth Park  Midland, Plymouth Park is known for the Fun Zone- a 6,000 square foot wooden community-built playground.

Saginaw Art Museum Saginaw, charming local museum with a diverse collection of fine art, sculpture & photographs

Birch Run Outlets Birch Run, the largest outlet mall in the Midwestern United States. Lots of options for everyone in your family!

Zehnders of Frankenmuth the FAMOUS chicken dinner that is served family style, a tradition that began 160 years ago! Once you’re done exploring, this is the perfect place to end your adventure.
